Today is Tuesday, April 28 — two days until YOUnison’s Worldwide #DayofGratitude.
At its inception, this project was a humble interest in expressing gratitude through music. The YOUnison team saw music education as an opportunity to engage students, educators, and creative minds in a collaborative thanks-giving effort. Andrew Morrison, founder of YOUnison, pointed to the ways in which this project could make use of social-emotional learning for the greater good.
Since the early days of our work, YOUnison has garnered tremendous support from the music, education, and combined music education worlds. Representing 20 nations on 6 continents, the Worldwide Day of Gratitude boasts a network that connects people from all over the world through music. We are also excited to have the support of over 45 major organizations. With all of this momentum, our final step is inspiring more of you to participate.
I am humbled to be a member of the YOUnison team and proud to watch this project grow. On April 30th, we will see widespread gratitude and positive energy directed toward the heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic. By coming together online, we can inspire closeness and community during this time of social distancing.
